The Caribbean Islands are a large group of islands in the Caribbean Sea. The Caribbean Islands map is generally divided into four regions Greater Antilles, Lesser Antilles, ABC Islands, and Lucayan Archipelago. Thirteen independent Caribbean nations and seventeen dependent Caribbean nations comprise the entire region. Generally, many languages are spoken there, including English, Spanish, French, Dutch, and a combination known as Antillean Creole. The Caribbean is mostly located between North and South America and has an area of about 1.06 million square miles.
